Independent Study 2

a) "I, Andy Z. Rodriguez, affirm that I completed my independent component which represents 30 hours of work.”

(b)Over the past two months I had to work on a strict schedule, I couldn't just "put it off till next week" I forced myself to go out every other day to give the flowers their water, in this way I had to work hands on with them. It is quite a serene experience, feeding them, watering them, I began to see even more why people have such an appreciation for them, flowers are alive, they have texture, they have beauty. In addition to working on my own flowers and serving their needs, a few times i took the opportunity to help out someone with their garden.

Interpretive
30 hours of work, with more than half of it watering, I did it all by hand, reason being, whenever farmers grow their flowers rarely do they go face to face with each single stalk, I didn't want to do that. Although most of views are for industry floriculturist that does not mean that I should "industrialize" the process, because if I can't appreciate them, then how could I expect a customer, with so many other things on their shopping list, to? The other two parts consisted of lawnwork,  which I did because I had to remove any environmental factors that would threaten the well being of my flowers whether it be trees, weeds, or hungry rabbits along with prepping a spot to carry flowers which form the backbone of my senior project. Thirdly, I helped a few other people within their own flowers, helping them achieve their own success with floral

Applied
What is most is most important for a Floriculturist to know to be successful

As I was growing my flowers, those that tended to be lacking in nutrients didn't grow healthy as those that did, and water, those that lacked for water appeared to have died, therefore I believe it is important to understand that plants need water, they appear to not be able to survive without it. The soil itself, when I had to prep the soil for planting I always took a look at the pH, in addition I tended to mix food in with it, however whatever flowers i were planting needed only a certain amount of the layer to be soft because otherwise the roots would not able to hold the plant still, and the tall ones would tend to tip over in loose soil. Observing this, I reason that another answer would be that a knowledge of soil consistency would be a large benefit for anyone who wants to get the most out of their flowers
